- Draft-first posting — drafts are reviewed, then posted as a batch. Fully reversible.
- Append-only double-entry ledger — balances and FIFO bill settlement are derived from posted entries, so the books always reconcile.
- Reproducible bills — each bill snapshots the tariff used, so history stays correct after rate changes.
