About KanTara
KanTara is a modern web-based karaoke companion built for Filipino karaoke nights.
Instead of passing one phone around to search for songs, anyone can join a room by scanning a QR code or entering a room ID. Guests search YouTube karaoke songs from their own phone and add them to a shared queue in real time—no downloads, no accounts required.
The host stays in control with simple playback controls like play, pause, skip, and queue management while everyone contributes to the music together.
Built for families, friends, birthdays, reunions, and every Filipino karaoke session.

Search – KanTara only searches after you press Search. This is intentional because I have a limited number of YouTube requests each day. If it searched every letter you typed, those requests would run out quickly. I'm still working on making it faster and smarter.
"Video not available" – Some YouTube karaoke videos get deleted, made private, or blocked by their uploader. When KanTara detects one, it automatically skips it and blocks it from future searches, so nobody keeps seeing or selecting the same broken video again.
