The Inspiration:

During major floods and disasters, emergency calls are often scattered across Facebook timelines and comment sections, causing critical requests to get lost in the noise. AlertSync was built to solve this by creating a centralized, real-time emergency ecosystem that bypasses social media clutter.

AlertSync is a native Android application (built in Java) engineered to centralize disaster response and community awareness. Instead of relying on unorganized social media posts during floods or crises, the platform allows users to submit real-time, crowdsourced situation reports directly from the ground. This data instantly syncs via Google Firebase to a dedicated Responder Management System, ensuring that emergency personnel see precise locations and legitimate calls for help without lag.
