Cany is a little scanner app that reads shelf price tags with your camera and adds each item to your cart as you go. No typing prices in, no hunting for a calculator, no waiting for bars. It just works in the store, even where your phone has no signal.

You set a budget once — total, and per aisle if you like (meat, veggies, drinks, snacks, household). Then Cany keeps a running total and quietly tells you when you're about to overshoot. If you're way over at one store compared to your usual trips, it'll say so before you check out.

It can also weigh-and-price produce by the kilo, and keep a running history of what things cost so you can spot when a store's prices creep up.
