Proofr

Most writing tools make you sign up, then send everything you type to their servers. Proofr does neither.

It lives in your right-click menu. Select any text on a page, then proofread it, rewrite it in a different tone (Professional, Friendly, Concise, LinkedIn, and more), or translate it. The result drops in right where you were typing.

By default it runs on your own device using Chrome's built-in AI, so your text never leaves your machine. No account, no login, no API key. If you want to handle longer or harder text, you can add your own Groq key to use a cloud model, but that is optional and off by default.

Built for anyone who writes in the browser: email, docs, LinkedIn, comments, and forms.
