AVA

I built an AI secretary that can understand my schedule, retain long-term context, and become more useful through continued interaction.

The project is called AVA, a macOS-based AI secretary designed to help users manage schedules, tasks, notes, reminders, and daily productivity through a more natural conversational experience.

One of its key features is persistent memory. Unlike assistants that lose context after each session, AVA can retain relevant information from previous conversations, including user preferences, recurring routines, tasks, and important details. This allows it to provide more personalized and context-aware assistance over time.

AVA can integrate with tools such as Apple Calendar, Apple Notes, and Obsidian to:

• Review upcoming events and tasks

• Send reminders before scheduled activities

• Accept voice-based responses and commands

• Manage and update calendar events

• Follow up on incomplete tasks

• Generate daily productivity summaries

• Remember previous interactions and user preferences

The goal is to create an AI assistant that does more than respond to prompts. AVA is designed to understand the user’s workflow, retain useful context, and proactively support day-to-day planning and accountability.

The project is still in active development, and I’m continuing to improve its memory system, response speed, integrations, and overall user experience.
